Etowah Park

The land that is now Etowah Park was purchased by the Etowah Lions Club in 1994 with funds from the proceeds of the Etowah Lions Garbage Service. On September 7, 1995, 18 acres was turned over to Henderson County for the use of a park. The Etowah Lions Club has worked with the Henderson County Parks and Recreation in the development of the Etowah Park by subsidizing loans and attaining grants, and run the park’s concession stand where 100 percent of the profits go back into the park.

Etowah Park’s facilities include a shelter, picnic tables, playground, a walking trail, tennis courts, baseball fields, a soccer field and shuffleboard court, with a Frisbee golf course planned.

Etowah Park is located near Etowah Elementary School on Etowah School Rd.
